Brace yourselves Knoxville its the fair sweeping through our community again. Check here for certain fair events that can be entertaining for anyone. There is anything from tractor pulls to talent shows to Jimmy Buffett night. So put on your Hawaiian shirt and get ready for a night of the most unhealthy food you’ll eat all year (fried twinkies anyone?).
Someone here in our office who will remain nameless admitted that they would have to throw back a few before he/she heads to the demolition derby. I’m sure it’ll be a guaranteed night of entertainment.

Congrats to all the hard-working Knoxville citizens who sweated it out for the charter petition over the last few months. They shattered their goal of 30,000 with 50,000+ signatures!
Look for the Knox Charter Petition to be on this November’s election ballot.

Say what you will about last night’s game, coaching, Quarterback play. Our football program aint what it used to be.
If we keep playing like the Tennessee football program of the past, we will not progress with the game of the future. Who out there is up for Coach Bruce Pearl giving pregame/halftime speeches? Enough said.

As John Bailey Company’s longest active employee (22 years and running), Clara keeps everything flowing smooth here around the office. She does everything from accounting to bonds to thank you notes.
One JBC employee even referred to her as the “office glue” who keeps things held together. Every time she is out on vacation, her lack of presence is felt. Clara is a member of Northwest Baptist church and truly dedicated life long Knoxville citizen. Clara can tell you anything and everything about the history of our great city.

Alright, I know everyone has a case of the Monday’s. Let’s not forget that we have a long weekend to look forward to which is equipped with:
A. More off days than usual
B. Largest fireworks show in the south (Boomsday)
C. The College Football Season
As the season starts several questions will be asked. For instance is the PAC-1 any good? (as I refer to the “Pac-10” conference this year, I will call them the PAC-1 due to their 1 and only 1 team worthy of national recognition) Something tells me the PAC-1’s UCLA doesn’t stand a chance against the Vols with their 3rd string scout team Quarterback. I’ve already asked my boss if we can open the office at 10 am on Tuesday morning.
