Suprise of the week: Hands down goes to Jahvid Best of the Detroit Lions. When do rookies not named Adrian Peterson ever perform like this their 2nd week in the NFL? Ridiculous numbers. Too bad I benched him in one league for Joseph Addai and Ray Rice (in the last place league of course) I think its important to ride the waive of this rookie until about mid season – then he will likely slow down. You should know what to do then.
Waiver wire: If you’re looking to fill some roster space from the waiver wire, give Kevin Walter of the Houston Texans a look. He’s been a secure target for Matt Shaub. Brandon Lloyd is only owned in 24% of leauges and has 170 yards over 2 weeks, might be worth a 2-3 week trial. Oh and if you’re lucky enough to still have Kyle Orton available in your league – TAKE HIM. Tim Tebow may get all the hype in Denver and in the media – but Orton is nothing but pure consistency (and still the starter)
