A couple weeks ago, right before my friend Kevin and I went camping for a friend’s birthday, his back windshield shattered. We were on lunch when he noticed the latch of the bike rack was sitting a little off on his trunk. Reaching out, he tapped the latch so it would sit evenly.
Crack.
The entire back windshield shattered. Thankfully, it didn’t completely break while he drove back to work. Needless to say, we ended up taking my car camping. And come Monday morning, he got it fixed and only paid his comprehensive deductible.
If you’re unsure of what your comprehensive deductible is, check with your insurance agent. Sometimes, it is less than collision. Which for Kevin, helped out a lot with the unexpected accident.
